Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President-elect William Ruto today met with President
Mwai Kibaki at State House, Nairobi.
During the meeting, President Kibaki once again congratulated the two leaders for their election as announced by the IEBC.
President Kibaki wished them success in the noble duty of serving the Kenyan nation and guiding the people on the path of national cohesion, unity and shared prosperity across the country.
The Head of State also commended the Kenyan people and all the candidates who were seeking elective posts in the general elections for maintaining
peace.
President-elect Kenyatta and Deputy President-elect Ruto commended President Kibaki for leading the country on a transformative path during his ten-year leadership as Head of State and facilitating a transparent, secure and peaceful transition.
